CIUTI Membership

Founded in 1960, CIUTI (pronounced ['sju:ti]) is the world's oldest and most prestigious international association in the field of interpreting, composed of university institutes with translation and interpreting programs. The membership requires strict quality criteria to be met. In this sense, member universities bear an international seal of quality in the field of interpreting.

Being a member of the CIUTI family, which is dedicated to perfection iin translation and interpreting education and research, is both a prestigious status and a constant challenge to keep up with changing market conditions and the growing volume of research.

The Translation and Interpreting Department of Hacettepe University has been a member of CIUTI since 28 May 2015 and it is the only member of the association in Turkey.
