Internship

Internship Application Procedure and Application Documents

There has been a recent change on internship process in Hacettepe University  related to whether students are covered by Health Insurance. For students who are covered by Health Insurance through their families, the University will only pay premiums to the Social Security Institution for Occupational Accidents and Diseases, while for students who are not covered by Health Insurance, an additional General Health Insurance premium will also be paid.

Whether students are covered by General Health Insurance will be determined by the Declaration and Commitment Form they fill out. For this reason, each student wishing to undertake an internship will complete the two commitment forms in Annex 4 or Annex 5, whichever is appropriate to their situation.

Students who wish to complete their compulsory internship will follow the steps below:

STEP 1: First, fill out Annex 2 Trainees Information Form and Annex 3 Workplace Application and Admission Form on a Word document, then have it approved by the Internship Coordinator of your division.

STEP 2: Have the Annex 3 Form approved by the Authorized Person at the institution where you want to do your internship.

STEP 3: Then, if you are not covered by Health Insurance, fill out the Annex 4 Declaration and Commission Form (For Those Not Receiving Health Services), and if you are covered by Health Insurance, fill out the Annex 5 Declaration and Commission Form (For Those Receiving Health Services).

STEP 4: Submit the documents you have approved to the Department Secretary, which are;

  1. Annex 2 Trainees Information Form,
  2. Annex 3 Workplace Application and Acceptance Form approved by the institution where you will do your internship, and
  3. Annex 4 or Annex 5 Declaration and Commission Form that you have filled out as according to your status.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your approved documents must be submitted to the Secretary at least 25 days prior to the start date of the internship. Otherwise, the University cannot provide insurance. (04.06.2014)

DOCUMENT STATING THE INTERNSHIP IS COMPULSORY: Some institutions and organizations may request documentation stating that the internship is compulsory at the application stage. In this case, you can fill in the relevant sections of the "Document Stating The Internship Is Compulsory", which is among the internship documents below, on a Word document, have it approved by the Head of Department through the department secretary, and receive it to be forwarded to the institution.
