Vision and Mission

Vision

To be the most competent department in Türkiye that provides translation education at the international level in academic studies and in the training of individuals who practice translation as a profession; to train translators and interpreters, who are preferred to be employed in national and international organizations, and who are capable of multilingual translation; to be a leading department that will contribute to the development of the country as well as the world of science in cooperation with both national and international institutions and organizations.

Mission

To train translators and interpreters who have a contemporary world view and universal values, who are proficient in Turkish and at least one foreign language at the highest level and are able to utilise this proficiency in translation, equipped with terminology and field knowledge in the fields of medicine, law, social sciences, technical sciences and literature, who translate in these fields at the national and international level, and who have the ethical values of the translation profession.
